I suppose we are all guilty of the occasional sweeping judgement, but parenting and the resulting children are dependent on so many different things that it would be impossible to wrte any sort of book like this that didn't contain generalisations, perhaps I should try "Teachers' children don't do their homework"!

I haven't read the book, but you seem to confirm my reactions to it (my kids are like yours, half-frog, half-bulldog) ... I figured she'd only had experience of a certain Parisian lifestyle, because what I'd read from the reviews certainly didn't correspond to my experience of French kids and parents here in rural Normandy or their UK counterparts.
