I am totally looking forward to turning 40 Michelle (especially given the alternatve!!), it's just a good excuse to try some new fun stuff & take a look at life, oh and read some wierd and wonderful things on the subject! I'm having a great time, did you do anything special for yours? Am planning a marathon and started this blog for mine :)

Michelle

These gems from the past!

I wasn't too bothered about turning 40 until about a month before (oh, and you're a month away? Watch out!) but only because there is so much hype in our culture about it, it was almost like I felt obligated to feel some anxiety. But once I turned 40 I felt liberated! Weird, I know.

And I have yet to wring my hands with boredom!

He does have a way with words, doesn't he?!! But I'm sure we shouldn't worry our pretty little heads about it!!

Made me chuckle - why oh why wasn't I born at the turn of the century (cocktails...bestsellers...touring Europe - as you say, sounds fantastic..!) Oh, hang on - Great War, Second World War on way....hmmmm maybe not then - at least Mr Bloody Pitkin may have had time to reflect upon his words whilst in the trenches and the women folk of England held the country together,LOL!!
