I asked you a while back what your mission statement was, well mine has changed ( yes, I know -already, how fickle is that, now it's "eat the last rollo before someone else does". No, not really).
I've been looking around I've noticed quite a few statements in pretty interesting places. One blogger who commented on that post had hers written on their kitchen wall.
I came across the house above in Alsace, the photo hasn't turned out very well ( because I'm rubbish at taking photos, it usually looks like I was trying to get a good shot of the fridge when some kid stumbled into the shot), which is a shame because on the left is the quote "une maison vide est une maison sans vie" - an empty house is a house without life, and on the right is "le bonheur va vers ceux qui savent rire", - happiness follows those who can laugh".
Walls and houses are one thing, but tattoos take loyalty in a mission statement to a whole new level. I'm talking something more profound than "Winona forever" here, maybe something more like Robbie's...
chacun son goût, each to their own.
Angelina Jolie has an entire self-help manual about her body. "Know your rights", "determination" (in Arabic) and a Tennessee William's quote " a prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages" all share bathwater with the following Budhist Pali incantation:
May your enemies run far away from you.
If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always.
Your beauty will be that of Apsara.
Wherever you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides.
That just about says it all, really.
Mine is boringly perched on the bookcase, where is yours?
